Hoarfrost at Mendenhall Glacier
We were down in Juneau for a few days last week. Saturday morning we went out to Mendenhall Glacier. Most of the area was still in shadow (hense the blue cast to the photos). The hillsides were lovely all covered with platelets of hoarfrost. The platelet that my god-grandson, Izaak Shaw, held up for me to photograph was about 1.5″ in diameter.
